Let’s flamingle! That was the theme of Brooklyn’s 3rd birthday party this year. When I asked her what kind of party she wanted, she told me a mingo/kitty/ice cream party, lol! We finally decided on a flamingo/pool party and she was thrilled. This was such a fun party to plan. For the decor I decided to go with lots of bright pinks, corals and golds. I just love the way it turned out and more importantly so did she. The morning of her party she went outside to see the table all set up and with the biggest smile on her face said, “thank you, mommy.”
I had an incredible photographer, Melody Fiske come photograph her party (best decision ever). It was so nice not to stress about or rush around taking pictures and she did an amazing job capturing all the sweet details of the party. I love this shot of her checking everything out – she was so excited!!
The treat table included cupcakes, her birthday cake and some white chocolate popcorn. The popcorn is one of my go-to party snacks. It’s so easy and everyone loves it. I just pop a couple of bags of kettle corn, drizzle melted white chocolate over it and stir. It’s that easy! You can also customize it to your party’s decor by adding colored sprinkles, M&M’s or any other candy you like. I served them in these adorable scallop gold cups with the cutest pink flamingo picks.
One of my favorite parts was her cake! The first one I made was a complete pinterst fail so I had to start over:/ I made a simple triple layer cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I added the adorable ‘Let’s flamingle” topper, some gold sprinkles on the bottom and a fresh succulent on top, and it turned out even better than I had planned…I love when that happens:)
I made cupcakes and added these custom cupcake toppers that matched her birthday invites!
It was super hot on the day of her birthday so I decided to set up a little bar area with beers and moscow mules – one of my favorite summer cocktails. Don’t worry there were also plenty of juice boxes and water for the kids;)
For the favors I used the same gold scallop cups that I served the popcorn in. I added some candy, wrapped it in cellophane and tied it with a thank you tag. Each cup went in these adorable flamingo drink holders for everyone to take home.
These pineapples were an easy and inexpensive addition. I just bought store bought pineapples and spray painted them gold – I love the pop of color they added to the table.
Brooklyn had the best day playing, opening presents and swimming with her friends. I’ll never forget the huge smile and giggles she had all day. All this party stuff is fun, but her joy on her special day is what it’s really all about.
I still can’t believe my ‘baby’ is 3! So many of my favorite shops were a part of her special day and really made her party come to life – thank you!! I will link all sources below.
