The weather in Arizona has been gorgeous lately and we’ve been taking full advantage of it by spending lots of time outside. Easter sure came quick this year (wasn’t Christmas just yesterday???) I decided to put together a last minute playdate to celebrate with some of our friends. I knew there were going to be a lot of kids coming so I decided to do most of the prep the night before so I could fully enjoy the day with everyone.
We took advantage of the beautiful weather and spent the whole day outside playing, eating and crafting! We started the kids out with an easy paint project and they all loved it!! They had the same bunny to paint so it was really fun to see how differently they all turned out;)
I prepped lunch the day before so that my time could be spent playing with the kids and catching up with friends. I found some adorable baskets from Target that I used for the kids’ lunches. Each included a PB & Jelly sandwich cut in the shape of an Easter egg, bunny crackers, fruit kabobs, carrots & ranch and a little treat. They loved their “special lunches” and everyone got to take their little baskets home with them when they were done:)
We finished off lunch with some yummy vanilla cupcakes with buttercream frosting. The adorable bunny toppers can be found here http://www.merimeri.com. It was a loud, crazy, super fun afternoon spent with wonderful friends. I’m pretty sure all the kids took a good nap that day, and all the mamas enjoyed a good glass of wine that night;)
