Christmas is less than a week away and I have a quick and easy gift that you can put together today! These mason jar cocktails make great gifts for neighbors, friends or co-workers. Who wouldn’t enjoy a cup of cheer right about now?!
First, you’ll need 16 oz mason jars, make sure to get wide mouth ones so your soda can fits easily inside the jar and the lid can close. You can order the mason jars online or pick them up at your local craft or grocery store. You’ll need the mini/skinny soda cans since the regular sized ones won’t fit. Create any cocktail combination you or your friends like and start assembling.
After they’re put together, it’s time to embellish! I just tied some red twine around the rim of the jar so that I could add a straw and a mini bottle of liquor. I found these adorable birch straws and knew they would make the perfect addition. I created a little tag to tie on that says “have a cup of cheer”. To finish it off I tied on an adorable bottle brush Christmas tree to the top of the jar. I can’t get enough of these little trees and could add them to anything.
I will be handing these out to our neighbors, but I also wanted to include a non-alcoholic, child friendly cup of cheer for the kids;) I made these reindeer cocoa bags a couple years ago and they were a huge hit, and they’re super easy! You’ll need disposable piping bags (I found them at the craft store) just add your favorite hot cocoa mix and marshmallows (you could also add chocolate chips, sprinkles, or peppermint pieces to them). Once everything is in the bag, tie the top closed with twine and add a brown pipe cleaner to create the look of “antlers.” Hot glue some googly eyes on and add a red pom pom for the nose and that’s it!
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas week. Cheers to lots of love and family time!!
